Use RefWorks?

Refworks is a database that allows you to collect, store, and organize citations for your bibliography. The program is free to staff, students, and faculty, but you do have to create an account.

Cite resources in a bibliography using APA/MLA style?

Citation Machine is a free internet resource that will help format your citations for you. To use it just fill out the form and the program does all the work for you. One draw back is that you can only do one citation at a time and only in a few formats (APA, MLA, Chicago).

Find a workshop?

How do I get a book or journal article from Trellis?

Did you know you can get material delivery to the Guelph-Humber campus. When you find the material you want in TRELLIS display the full record and then click on 'Request item from Trellis' button on the top banner. The system will prompt you to sign in if you have not already done so and provide a simple form to fill out. To pick up books at Guelph-Humber select the pick up location as Guelph Humber circulation.

Get a book or journal article from another library?

If you looked through BIBCAT and TRELLIS and couldn't find the material, there is still a way to get that material elsewhere. Racer allows you to request material from other libraries, provincially, nationally and internationally.

Locate e-books?

Our e-book collections cover a wide range of subject areas. Net Library and Xreferplus offer the most variety of books for Guelph-Humber subjects.

Connect from home?

Guelph-Humber student's will be prompted to sign-in if they want access to electronic resources, or place holds on library material.

Guelph University sign in can be done in two ways:

  1. Webmail user name (UG Central Login ID) and password
  2. Last name and barcode (13 digits found on student ID)

Humber Library resources can be accessed using your barcode (13 digits found on student ID) and last name up to 10 characters.
