Copyright for Faculty

Copyright is a complex and contentious issue in academic circles today. With the advent of new technologies, the move towards the provision of digital course materials and Canadian copyright legislation, it can be difficult task to provide relevant and meaningful course content and materials while still using resources ethically.

While there are a variety of issues to consider, one hard and fast rule to live by is - if you want to present or distribute materials in class, you can do so as long as you have permission.
